A Place to Relax

The Lodge was established in 2002 and it has been crucial in developing eco-tourism in the Turrialba area. It has a great location on the slopes of the Turrialba Volcano, overseeing the Turrialba Valley, so you can expect picturesque views from all over.

The owners, Pedro and Rossana, are true nature lovers. They have created a beautiful garden around the lodge that attracts birds and butterflies. In fact, the lodge has been cited as a BIRDING HOT SPOT in the Cartago area of Costa Rica. You can find online bird lists on eBird.

Farm to Table

Complementing the lodge and gardens are natural areas, a farm with livestock (including sheep and cows), and a coffee and banana plot. You’re welcome to explore all of this during your stay. Discover the trail that leads to the Aquiares River, or join in by feeding/milking the cows, or helping with picking and processing red coffee berries in the coffee plot.

Our coffee production is eco-friendly and organic. Our original coffee plot grows three Arabica varieties: CR95, OBATA, and CATIGUA MG2. We also have a new 1-hectare plot with the latest successful variety developed at the CATIE research center, called MILENIO.

Enjoy our coffee at breakfast!

Tranquility, fresh air and an organic farm to table way of life is what distinguishes us.
